Jon Adessky "Jon Adessky"
Info Tracklist 1.Freedom Isn't Free Listen To Jon Adessky's Music Here Bio About Jon Adessky Jonathan Adessky is a 17 year old guitarist. At age eleven, he picked up his father’s old acoustic guitar and taught himself several basic melodies. Jon soon developed an affinity for the blues, wondering at times if he was the only kid in the world who loved the blues. In June 2005, 12 year old Jonathan gave his first live performance at the West Island Blues Festival. In June 2006, he performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival with Camp de Blues. That September, in what was to become the seminal event in the young guitarist’s life, Jon was fortunate enough to visit with his idol, Eric Clapton. Jonathan has become a regular, jamming at several clubs in Montreal. In July 2007, he played 3 straight nights at Chicago’s venerable blues club, Kingston Mines with local bluesman Charlie Love. Jon also jammed at Buddy Guy’s Legends club. Jonathan’s dedication to the music comes through when he plays. If you close your eyes when he’s onstage, you will hear a musical maturity well beyond his years, and understand why Charlie Love introduces him as “the next generation of the blues”. August 12th 2009, Jonathan opened at the prestigious Silver Dollar Room in Toronto, playing a one hour set with his backup band consisting of; Matt Gardiner on bass, Tim Johns on rhythm guitar and Terry Mallet on drums. On August 13th Jon performed in the Toronto Blues Society’s showcase of finalists for the TBS’ annual Talent Search. Jon was the only artist under 20 years old, and although he didn’t win, he acquitted himself admirably as the obvious crowd favorite. According to TBS sources Jon sold more CD’s then all other 5 finalists combined. http://www.myspace.com/jonadessky01
