Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch "Upside Your Head"
|
With the release of their sizzling debut album, "Upside Your Head", Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch have quickly taken over the crown as the new kings of Blues Rock, by putting out, by far, the best Blues Rock Album to be released in years and the fact that this is a Debut release, makes that all the more amazing. Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch are uncategorically, the best thing going out there right now, for their type of music, which I can only describe as Incendiary Off The Charts Guitar Driven Blues Rock. I give "Upside Your Head" a very enthusiastic 5***** Rating, my highest form of praise for an Album. In the category of Blues Rock, there simply are no other contenders that are presently out there that even come close to what this amazing Texas Trio have done. Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch is a North Texas-based blues/rock power trio. Their scorching hot, in-your-face sound contains traces of blues, hard rock, old country, jazz, and surf but they manage to wrap it all up together in a package that is undeniably Texan and undisputedly world-class. Their debut CD, "Upside Your Head" was released in April 2010 on the Underworld label and has received airplay nationwide, including a long stint on the Texas Roots Airplay charts. The CD was co-produced by Jim Suhler (of Dallas' Monkey Beat and George Thorogood & The Destroyers), who also plays on a couple of tracks. The band is adept at catering to a diverse array of crowds, being fully capable of playing a night of straight blues, hard-rock, or roots/country, depending on what the crowd is digging the most. Their live show is a high-energy workout that leaves crowds in a frenzy, and their CD is all killer, no filler. Do yourself a service and check out this band when they are near you. Bring your sweat rag. Also be sure and get your copy of Upside Your Head; you can purchase it at Amazon.com, Bestbuy.com, iTunes, and virtually any other online music store. Of couse, you can always pick up a signed copy at any Hoodoo Witch show. LOOK OUT!!! Jason
