Gary Preston & Anita Bonkowski's title of their newest Cd is called "Satisfy Somebody" and that is certainly what that Cd did for me. "Satisfy Somebody" is a Fresh, Clean, and Dynamic offering that takes you back to a simpler time, when you could actually hear all the notes played and all the words sang. "Satisfy Somebody" offers us a very intimate musical experience, as if they are playing solely for you and you only.

"Satisfy Somebody" is a wonderful mixture of songs covering Blues, Funky New Orleans, and a few vintage Jazz tunes thrown in for good measure. "Satisfy Somebody" has 14 tracks in all, consisting of 7 originals and 7 classics, which include Willie Dixon's Don't Go No Farther, Hoagy Carmicheal's Georgia On My Mind, and Barbecue Bob's (Robert Hicks) Atlanta Moan, to name a few. One of the tracks that really intrigued me was Gary Preston's Platypus Blues.

Looking over the instrument list, one is impressed with the amount actually being used on "Satisfy Somebody", especially when one considers that their are only two people playing those instruments on this Cd, namely Gary and Anita. One of those Instruments, which I have not seen listed on a Cd before, is of all things, a good old washboard, which should give you an idea of the beautiful simplicity that "Satisfy Somebody" offers.

"Satisfy Somebody" was a thoroughly enjoyable Cd to listen to. Gary Preston not only sings to perfection, but also does the same with playing the piano, harmonica, and organ. Anita Bonkowski is wonderful on upright bass, hi-hat, washboard, and percussion. Both meld their talents together as they magically compliment each other.

Gary Preston & Anita Bonkowski picked the perfect title for their newest Cd, as "Satisfy Somebody" certainly did it for me.

For it's Simplicity and Purity, I give "Satisfy Somebody" my highest rating of ***** Stars.
