Fresh Goat "This Is Fresh Goat" (EP)
|
"This Is Fresh Goat" is the name of the Debut EP Release by none other than Fresh Goat and I must say that when I first listened to it, I didn't think about a goat, but the word Fresh did come to my mind as in ReFreshing. Fresh Goat are a Indie band hailing from Vancouver, BC and classify themselves as a Blues/Rock Jam-band, something you really get a sense of, especially the Jamming part, which I having always liked in Albums. Their musical style was influenced by Allman Brothers Band, Delaney & Bonnie, Derek & the Dominos, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Rory Gallagher, to name a few. Consisting of five tracks, "This Is Fresh Goat", gives you a good feeling about whom Fresh Goat is with their Guitar Driven Rockin' Blues Sound, with lots of tempo and lots of beat, a good Lets Get The Party Started CD. "This Is Fresh Goat" does have it's strengths and weaknesses, which is totally normal for an EP. The main thing one should be looking for in a EP is, does the Artist have potential, and I must say that Fresh Goat definitely has potential and a lot of it. All in all, "This Is Fresh Goat" is a very fine EP, but more than that it is an EP that truly makes you anxious to hear their next project. I have no problem recommending "This Is Fresh Goat" .

Sounds Like Formed in 2004 by the song writing team of Alan "Lopez" Woolverton and Tim Anderson, Fresh Goat is a "Family Style" Blues/Rock Jam-band. Incorporating one female and two male voices, three guitars and a solid rhythm section, the Goat brings an old school "R&B Review" feel to the testosterone-filled genre of Blues/Rock. http://www.myspace.com/freshgoat
