Thinking
About Woody...
I
had the privilege of knowing Woody for 33 years and for most of
them, I had the honor of calling him my Best Friend.
Woody was a Big Man, but his stature was truly
dwarfed when you placed it next to his Spirit and Heart.
Of all the good times we spent together one
thing was certain with Woody, if you showed him respect he would
show it back in aces, if you didn't he had no problem showing
you the door, and if you really were getting out of hand, he had
no problem helping you through it. I was glad to be, for the
most part, on his good side.
My world will be a little lonelier without Woody
in it, but my spirit will be a lot stronger because he was.
Woody had the biggest apple tree in the world in
his front yard. I really looked forward to the 3 days it took me
to prune it each year.
Woody loved computers. I taught him quite a bit
about building and maintaining websites. He repaid me by
teaching me how to get out of bed and answer the phone, at all hours of the night
because he couldn't figure out why a page he just uploaded
wasn't showing up online. Thanks Bud!!!
Yes Woody was my Best Friend, and not only that,
he was a Mentor whom taught me the meaning of true friendship.
I will miss him dearly...
